October 2008 - Current submissions
1) The Peoples Church strives to be a place where all feel welcome to worship our Lord and Know that His love can empower us to be the person He wants us to be. So that together we become people unified through our love to reach out to those in need so that their burden may be lifted and that they too may see the love of God living through those who love Him.
2) Peoples Church serves as a house of Christian worship to the Michigan State University Community and to all who seek to know GOD ALMIGHTY in a more powerful way. We will continue to nurture our heritage of religious diversity while embracing inclusivity in Jesus Christ Our Lord. We open our hearts and minds to the holy will and purposes of GOD for this Congregation so that future generations may experience the richness of GOD's love for us, in their love for one another.
3) Peoples Church is an interdenominational church where people are brought to faith in Jesus Christ, and helped to live it.

1) Peoples Church, with a history of unique diversity, serves as a house of Christian worship for all. We invite and nurture that diversity while embracing inclusivity. 2) Peoples Church, a house of Christian worship, embraces all who seek a personal relationship with Christ. As members of the communities in which we live, we will respect tradition, embrace change, and work for a sustainable future (Rick Shafer).

Six Group Visions From July Workshop
1) The Peoples Church desires to participate in the Kingdom of God by reaching out to the community and Michigan State University in order to grow in numbers and personal spiritual growth. We also aim to help achieve real social justice and be an inclusive and outwardly focused church. The focus should be on developing our membership to be able to address social justice issues as individuals and not have the church take positions.
2) Grounded in our historic unique diversity, we will, by the grace of God, flourish in inclusivity and social justice through active engagement in our community and the world.
3) "If you are trying to establish a relationship with God, we can help. Peoples Church can bring you to Christ."
4) As a house of Prayer for all, we will be a Church that pays respect to tradition but also recognizes and adjusts to the changes in the world and community in which we live, a Church embraces, invites, and nurtures diversity while maintaining financial sustainability and retaining for generations those who come to worship.
5) Our vision is for an interdenominational Christian Church that promotes and encourages diversity and inclusivity while seeking social justice throughout the Kingdom of God; remembering our roots and remaining relevant.
6) The Peoples Church is where all people may develop their Christian faith, experience hope, and through their walk with Christ come to love kindness and do justice, all for the glory of God's Kingdom.
