Six Group Visions From July Workshop

1) The Peoples Church desires to participate in the Kingdom of God by reaching out to the community and Michigan State University in order to grow in numbers and personal spiritual growth. We also aim to help achieve real social justice and be an inclusive and outwardly focused church. The focus should be on developing our membership to be able to address social justice issues as individuals and not have the church take positions.

2) Grounded in our historic unique diversity, we will, by the grace of God, flourish in inclusivity and social justice through active engagement in our community and the world.

3) "If you are trying to establish a relationship with God, we can help. Peoples Church can bring you to Christ."

4) As a house of Prayer for all, we will be a Church that pays respect to tradition but also recognizes and adjusts to the changes in the world and community in which we live, a Church embraces, invites, and nurtures diversity while maintaining financial sustainability and retaining for generations those who come to worship.

5) Our vision is for an interdenominational Christian Church that promotes and encourages diversity and inclusivity while seeking social justice throughout the Kingdom of God; remembering our roots and remaining relevant.

6) The Peoples Church is where all people may develop their Christian faith, experience hope, and through their walk with Christ come to love kindness and do justice, all for the glory of God's Kingdom.
